Dark clouds gather, a rumbling sound,

The wind picks up, whistling around,

The air grows heavy, with electric charge,

As lightning strikes, the sky is at large.

The rain falls heavy, with a pounding beat,

On windows, roofs, and every street,

The world is drenched, in a watery veil,

As lightning flashes, without fail.

Trees sway and bend, in the howling gale,

As the storm rages, without fail,

Nature's fury, on full display,

In this upheaval, come what may.

But in the aftermath, a wave of peace does come,

The storm has passed, its damage done,

And the world awakens, fresh and new,

A reminder that storms, pass too.
