The Stories of Youth
We are youth, and we’re meant to be free.

Youth. A time in our lives that is as dazzling as it is fleeting.
“Time will always flow. Everything will pass by. That might be why youth is beautiful. It shines, blindingly bright, for just an instant. But you can never go back to it.”
It is this ephemeral nature that makes every moment so precious, even the smallest, weirdest, and silliest ones. Just as childhood is an evanescent journey filled with wonder, youth passes in the blink of an eye, leaving a legacy as radiant as the morning sun
I want to be alone, I don’t want to be alone
I don’t even know myself
These words often echo through our mind. We yearn to indulge in the serenity of solitude, where we can just be ourselves and not worry about what others think. Yet, in the same breath, loneliness creeps in. We yearn for someone, for love, for connection. While being alone truly provides a different sense of comfort and joy, sometimes, perhaps we really don’t want to be alone. Maybe we just want someone to understand and love us without judgement.
Maybe we simply long for love that is calm, pure, and unconditional — whether in friendship, romance, or family.
These encapsulate the paradox of youth. It is wanting to be alone yet are scared of loneliness. It is being full of wisdom but innocent at the same time. We are blessed with the vigor to chase after our dreams, yet we face struggles that sometimes seem insurmountable. Tearful farewells and exciting new beginnings mark our journey. We are bold yet anxious. We experience dispute with friends yet we stay together till the end. We make lots of friends but lose many too. There are moments of unbridled joy, and of laughter that echoes through our memories. But there are also moments of doubt, of uncertainty, and of searching for our place in the world.
Where on earth is my happiness?
No one can answеr
We often have this question lingering in our mind. Happiness, in its elusive nature, seems to be out of reach. We search for it in achievements, in the validation of others, in the fleeting pleasures of each day. But true happiness, we are learning, is not a destination but a continuous journey. It is found in hanging out at the park after school, taking late-night walks with friends and talking about life and dreams, going on spontaneous road trips, feeling the warmth of summer’s sun-drenched months, enjoying lazy afternoons, sharing whispered secrets, and having late-night conversations that stretched until dawn. It’s in riding bicycles with the wind whipping through our hair, feeling like the world is ours to conquer.
Our happiness can be found in the small, mundane moments of life, in unexpected kindnesses, and in the quiet contentment that comes from within.
In this suffocating world
I laughed for a moment at one small thing
Youth is beautifully chaotic. It’s like carrying a rock while climbing a mountain, full of pressures, expectations, and worries that weigh heavily on our shoulders. But the beauty of youth lies in our ability to see the joy in the most unexpected places, to laugh at small, sometimes unfunny things, and to make jokes about even the most gut-wrenching stuff. These moments are lifelines that keep us afloat.
It just so happens we’re facing today for the first time
Youth is a season of growth and discovery. So, sometimes it makes me wonder, why are we always so hard on ourselves? This is our first time living and facing things; every day, we‘re a blank canvas about to be painted with new experiences and memories. We are just yet to discover things, facing the world with fresh eyes. We can’t know and be the best in everything and that’s okay. We make mistakes and fall, we rise and learn, and we grow. We are youth, and we’re meant to be free.
Youth is a time like no other. It’s a period when we believe anything is possible. Our hearts beat the loudest, our spirits soar the highest, and our hopes shine the brightest. We are bold enough to believe that we can change the world and daring enough to try. The nights of our youth are filled with wonder, the stars a map of dreams we had yet to chart. We have this unspoken understanding that binds us together, a connection to something greater than ourselves.
Our youth may be transient, but the stories we’ve created will live on in our hearts and in the hearts of those we have touched.
May we always believe in ourselves and in the incredible power we hold to make a difference. Raise your glass to the stories we’ve made and to the stories we’re about to write. May we never lose the zest for life that defines our youth.
With our voices, wherever we are, let’s sing
Cheers to youth
