The Spider Bite

Bit by a two-legged spider,

How dare they, bold and sly,

Creeping close in my own home,

With venom in their eye.

A twist of fate, a cruel attack,

In the comfort of my space,

How could they breach my sanctuary,

And leave their mark, disgrace?

I’ll rise from this, and stand my ground,

No fear shall cloud my mind,

For though they strike and scurry close,

They’ll find no place at mine.

I’ll reclaim my peace and power,

And let the spider know,

This is my home, I’m queen and fierce,

And now it’s time to go.

Now my bum feels so sore

I feel like I could cry

The little nuisance ran so fast

He jumped up the wall so high
