And suddenly, you're running.

Hit the ground -

you're racing,

nothing still or slow around...

embracing chaos,

chasing day-loss,

placing far behind the speed of light,

and love,

and sound.

Freeze your footsteps

(for a moment),

should you resist the need to run...

little birdie,

in a hurry,

be still and watch the setting of the sun:

you can finish up tomorrow

what today you've left undone. πŸ’«

I consider myself a poet of "uplifting style", and most of work contains an inspirational message. :)

I haven't quite decided if this poem is finished or if I want to continue with more stanzas. However, my poems take me quite a while to write and I've therefore decided to start posting them - stanza by stanza - as I finish them. :) I really hope you enjoyed this inspirational poem. πŸ₯° Please let me know what you think! ❀️

This is excellent! I loved the way you used the hurried pace in the beginning and then moved to the slower, relaxed pace at the end. Loved the message, too.

I felt the frantic chaos in this but then the 'whew' some of it can wait until tomorrow, just relax a moment. Great writing and message :)
