The Space Between Stars
A free-verse meditation on existence, silence, and the unseen meaning that holds us together.

A poem that wonders — if everything ends, what still matters? The Space Between Stars explores how silence, love, and memory create meaning in a fleeting universe.
I often wonder
if the stars remember
the first time they burned,
or if they simply shine
without asking why.
Maybe that’s what peace is —
not understanding,
just existing
without apology.
We,
fragile and infinite,
walk through a galaxy of seconds,
collecting moments
as if they could outlive us.
Every breath
is a universe collapsing and beginning again.
Every goodbye
is a lesson in eternity.
We keep searching
for purpose,
for patterns in the noise,
for something that says
we mattered.
But maybe meaning
was never something to find—
maybe it’s what we leave behind
in the way we look at each other,
in the laughter that survives a silence,
in the hand we hold
before letting go.
The stars don’t speak,
yet we call them beautiful.
The night doesn’t promise tomorrow,
yet we trust it will come.
Perhaps that’s enough—
to live
with open eyes,
with gentle rebellion,
with the quiet courage
of not knowing.
And when our names fade,
as all names do,
the universe will hum softly,
remembering us
as part of the space
between stars.
