The Song of Renewal

The New Year

By Sara LorelPublished about a year ago 1 min read
Happiness and prayer for peaceful beginning

Why is everyone so excited?

Why do hearts feel so alive?

Is it just another year that’s come?

Yet, everyone seems to say:

“The gardens look fresh and green,

Every tree is full of life,

The world feels joyful again,

It’s a time of celebration.”

People believe endless joy has arrived,

The New Year brings happiness for all.

But what do you truly bring?

What will your steps reveal?

Will the tavern doors open wide?

Will the cupbearer pour the wine?

Oh, may your coming to bring peace,

Let sorrow and pain become stories of the past.

May new hopes arise in every heart,

May travelers find their strength again,

And walk bravely toward their dreams.

Welcome, New Year!

Yes, welcome with open hearts.

Come with kindness,

That is the prayer of us all.

Oh, New Year!

May you bring fortune, joy, and peace—

This is the wish of everyone.
