The Song Bird Lost It’s voice today

There was nothing but a silent hush

The Song Bird Lost It’s voice today

The songbird sat with weary eyes,

its throat too tired to sing or cry.

No morning call, no sweet refrain,

just silence draped across the sky.

Its wings once spread in joyful flight,

now still beneath the fading light.

The air was thick with what was lost,

a melody that paid the cost.

The trees stood bare,

the winds grew cold,

the stories of the song untold.

And in the quiet, something grew,

a silence deep, yet strangely true.

No reason spoke, no answers came,

just echoes of a whispered name.

The songbird’s voice, now gone away,

left nothing but the break of day.

that's as though describing a void in one's existence. Very moving
