The Sol's Rays
A poem about everyone in a way - Italian sonnet style
By Some GuyPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read

The great yellow ball that hangs in the sky
It’s grand wisdom that came to bring all life
Although some choose to bask in the sins of strife
This meaning of the Sol’s rays is a lie
But knowing the lie does not answer why
Is the goal to find a beautiful wife?
The die in honour to the longest knife?
To rest your head without the need to cry
Do we see the sun’s ray’s incompetence?
Or is this grand design just unspoken?
Perhaps to see it to let us be blind?
To take that final breath with confidence
To be sure that Heaven’s gates are open
To be safe in what you’re leaving behind

I kinda suck at writing but I enjoy it
Anyway, here's a dumb little haiku:
The gunslinger draws
His opponent does the same
oh dear, they both died
