The Snow Man, The Scarecrow, and The Worm
Only two got to see the summers day

The Snow Man, The Scarecrow, and The Worm
The snow man stood by the garden gate
his eyes were stones and his smile was flat
he watched the scarecrow in the field
worn and tired with a hat too big
The scarecrow nodded with ragged hands
his clothes all torn from sun and rain
he saw the worm beneath the snow
slow and quiet in the cold white earth
The worm wriggled through the frozen ground
searching for a place to hide
while snow man waited in the cold
and scarecrow dreamed of warmer days
They stood like friends but said no words
just kept their watch through winter’s grip
the snow man melting, scarecrow swaying
the worm still digging deep below
When spring came soft and warm at last
the snow man was gone with the thaw
the scarecrow stood in sunlight bright
and worm felt life stir in the soil

Ooo this was nice. A story of the snow man, scarecrow and the worm. I like the journey through their life, the worm wriggling through the frozen ground. To the scarecrow dreaming of warmer days. Even though winter has a mean grip, it was still sad that we lost the snow man in the thaw. Nicely done Marie 🤗❤️
Such a whimsical, fun poem, Marie!
You covered the four seasons in a creative way. Little kids would really like this one too.
