The Snake Eats Its Tail

A Poem

By Angel AdagioPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Over and over does time repeat,

the same results occur, insanity is expecting a new result from 1+1.

Promises of breaking the chain, promises of letting go of the shackles that held down new beginnings,

but fingers were crossed behind the back.

The horse has been beaten dead, and yet

we revisit the dried up bones bared out from the crows eating the remains.

But you love to do it to yourself,

to be the masochist of your own life and play the victim in the end,

until you're all alone and have no where to go.

Keep eating that tail,

it's all you know how to do.
