The Sky is on Fire

Orange Sky

By ChampionElCidPublished about a year ago 1 min read

If you look up you will see that the sky is on fire

I can't even guess as to why

The thick clouds of ash, the orange-black hue

I see that birds can't even fly

What did cause this fire? That now burns the air

We should know the cause we should certainly care

And yet I do think that this warning will fall

Upon a great many deaf ears

For even though we see the toll it will take

We fail to act on our fears

The sky will burn brighter, the air will turn black

The smoke, fire, and ash, will our bodies attack

And lo years from now will we all die?

Succumbed at last to the flame

Will stories be told of who we once were?

Will anything of us remain?

I do not know if day will become night

Now's the time to act! To do what is right!
