The Simplicity in Living Deep

But inner calm comes not from keeping busy hands

We stuff our lives with so much unnecessary clutter

Chasing distraction to drown out our inner chatter

But inner calm comes not from keeping busy hands

It dwells in spaces between, where silence stands

Purity lies not in excess or constant doing

Your soul prefers stillness, time for renewing

Simplifying outward frees your mind’s range

Reveals life’s depth and your spirit’s change

When preconceptions of “having it all” release

You find meaning grows where stress seeks to cease

Focus on meaning, not status or appearances

Discover your truth in reflective silences

Deeper questions surface without noise to hush

Surface living fades, life’s core you now flush

Pared down outside lets your within gleam through

Unfettered by stuff, you come into view

Refuge from frenzy in stillness you’ll know

Your soul’s sacred garden can flower and grow

True luxury isn’t things that clutter your way

It’s spaciousness inside for each new day
