"The Silent Flame"

We search for light in distant skies,

Chasing stars that fade with dawn.

But there, beneath our feet,

Lies a quiet flame, ever burning,

Untouched by time or wind.

It is not the flame that roars in the hearth,

Nor the fire that blazes in the heart of battle.

It is the flame that flickers in silence,

In the stillness of your gaze,

In the depth of a thought unspoken.

We seek the world outside,

To fill the void within,

But the world within—

A still ocean beneath a restless sky—

Holds all we need to know.

The mountains do not boast of their height,

And the river does not boast of its journey,

Yet they give,

And in their giving,

Become one with the earth they pass through.

That to live is not to race toward a distant shore,

But to be still in the present,

To be the flame that warms without burning,

The water that flows without losing its form.
