The poor they suffer, in a world so rich,

With empty bellies, and a constant itch,

To find a way out, of their endless plight,

A daily struggle, that's both day and night.

They're silenced voices, in a crowded space,

With no one to hear, their cries of grace,

Their dreams are shattered, their hopes denied,

A life of hardships, that's both harsh and tried.

But still they stand, with a head held high,

A testament to the strength, that they deny,

For despite their struggles, they've got heart and soul,

A spirit unbroken, and a fire that glows.

So let us not forget, the plight of the poor,

And work together, to open more doors,

For a world of equality, is a world of peace,

Where every voice, is given the chance to speak.
