The Silence Between Heartbeats

Where stillness teaches more than sound ever could.

By Fazal HadiPublished 7 months ago 1 min read

There is a place we seldom name,

A quiet space we can't explain—

Not found in books or on a chart,

But tucked inside the beating heart.

It’s not the thump you feel at night,

Not love's loud rush or fear’s first flight,

But in between — that breathless hush,

Where everything just seems to hush.

The silence between heartbeats speaks

Of what the hurried mind still seeks—

A pause, a peace, a calm retreat,

A place where soul and stillness meet.

It’s in the smile we never show,

The thoughts we feel but never know.

It’s in the tear we almost cry,

The whispered hope we let float by.

It teaches us to slow our pace,

To notice beauty, feel its grace.

To see in others quiet pain,

And offer kindness, not just gain.

The world moves fast and speaks too loud,

But wisdom rarely wears a crowd.

It’s found in stillness, soft and deep,

In moments we forget to keep.

So listen not to what is said,

But what is felt and gently led—

In every hush, in every part,

The silence is the truest heart.
