a test of my faith
therein lies the conflict
the script has begun
no cast but my audience
unmistakable for love
main-character arrogance
came for the misleading
stayed for the convenience
not for being convinced
because i was lonely
because i wanted to believe
but not because i did
red flags won't be unseen
can't ignore the obvious
noting outruns the truth
replacing trust with pain
take back my definition
demonstrating my strength
emotions are not for sale
not his for the taking
my senses don't betray
but i will be his villain
because that's what he needs
i oblige him, as always
the shadows of my reflection
