You think I’m crazy
because you don’t hear them
you’ve never made friends with your ghosts.
It’s amazing what you can see
once you’ve burned down bridges
you’ll open up closets to befriend your bones.
And when those takers try to drawl blood
bleed you dry for their sacrifice
so they can feel like the victim
after burning in effigy
the shadows are all you’ll see
and you learn when they speak, you should listen.
