The Shadow of your Spirit
My Kitty Kreature whom passed away in 2024. For the Unofficial Challenge: A Black Cat by Archibald Thorne

Kreature 2024
Little chirps float into the air
As my little black kitty prances around
A butterfly flutters by
Kreature bounds after it
Standing on hind legs
Paws in the air
Swatting at it softly
~
He is but a shadow
In the spirit realm of play
Dancing with the butterflies
For the rest of his days
His black silky fur
Sparkles in the sun
~
His trills travel through the wind
Echoing in your ears
You'll look up searching
But all that's left
Is the imprint
From where he used to sit

I lost my cat 10 years ago. Still hurts. I had her since I was a kid. They really do leave paw prints on your heart. I'm sorry for your loss. <3

Aww. Sorry for your loss. Cats are so cool, I am so very allergic though. We have dogs and little birds at the moment. But we did have a gingery cat and a ragdoll. They were both awesome. Loved your poem!
