The Shadow Beast

Faceless and stealthy,

with eyes like the night

pitch black and dingy

hidden from the light

Lives a creature that dwells,

it's teeth hollow and hungry

Crawled straight out of hell

misfits, various and sundry

Teeth jagged and pointy, with sharp silver tips

glowing red, as it senses, a scare

Frequently channeled the slime down his lips

which he licks, like a feast, he's prepared

Lurking in shadows, hunting for prey

shoots a venom, leaving victims impaired

Just one survivor, now hunts them, they say

every night you can hear him declare

I'm coming for you, and each creature like you

retribution for the evil you spread

I am making a sword designed to run you through

and a post to aptly display your head

The terror and fear, that you cast on my heart

will be the shadow that I lay you under

So run, if you can, this is your head start

when I catch you, you will be torn asunder

He captured the beast, and pulled out his teeth

wears them all strung out on a necklace

And he made a vow to protect us from the beast

leaving them vastly impaired, if not headless
