Look over your shoulder

The Secret of the Serpent's Betrayal

In the depths of the forest, where shadows conspire,

A serpent lies coiled with treachery’s fire.

Once a companion, a friend in the light,

Now whispers of danger emerge in the night.

With scales that shimmer like whispers of fate,

It promises treasures, yet weaves threads of hate.

In the underbrush, secrets stir with a hiss,

Each flick of its tongue, a dark, haunting bliss.

Once, trust was a blossom, vibrant and pure,

Yet the heart of the serpent held motives obscure.

A dance of deception, a cruel masquerade,

Cloaked in the silence where innocence fades.

What pain drives the serpent to strike at the heart?

What urge pulls it deeper to tear love apart?

Beneath the moon's glow, the truth comes unraveled,

As past and present in shadows are traveled.

Beware of the charm that glimmers so bright,

For beauty can mask the most sinister bite.

In the heart of the forest, where loyalties fray,

The lesson remains: trust can lead you astray.

So ponder this tale, let its lesson be clear,

In the wild’s serpentine dance, tread softly, my dear.

For not all that is trusted will stand by your side,

And betrayal's cold fangs often lurk in the tide.
