Our ultimate life gift

Submerged deep within your moist embrace

I am at peace!

Eyes closed. Breath suspended!

I am yours!

One with this mystery that is you

I drink from your abundant vast expanse!

What are you?

Fluid, what is your mystery, your secret?

You quench our deepest thirst and desire

You are everywhere!

Yet within us from the beginning of time;

Our lifeforce.

Are you just pH, Potential of Hydrogen

Balancing your neutrality or acidity against my body.

Yet you are so much more.

Macro and Micro nutrients, sustaining life

Hydrogen and Oxygen

Gaseous, liquid and solid

Plentiful and true

You give life, you take life

In your liquid form

You are but the aggregates of water molecules

Forming and reforming continually!

Evaporation, condensation, precipitation and dew

You are so many things!

By Jernej Graj on Unsplash

Resurfacing from your depth

I breathe deeply!

I lie still within your embrace

The blue sky smiles from above

I am Home!

Comfort and care for me!

I am at peace.
