The second fire of London
A poem about the cynical youth

This country has failed us
At least it can't get any worse than Liz Truss
It can and it will
You think we can see more times of ill?
Absolutely, when radical change is impossible
I don't think so, through democracy it could be plausible
The change that was needed was rejected for a clown
So what do you want? To burn it all down?
Burn the parliament, the Lords and the crown
And watch as everyone else is left to drown?
Drown in what? When everyone is drowning in debt
And by your ways they shall drown in a daily threat
Most crime is basically legal anyway
So that justifies your song of las Marseilles?
When the police are nothing more than revenue protection
To that claim I have a strong objection
What for? They only protect the rich
Says the man who's scared to be a snitch
Why snitch when all lawyers do is sue
Ok, you have me there that much is true
It takes three years to convict a killer
These laws which should be a pillar
Yet the courts are quick for libel and slander
They're just trying to put down propaganda
And all good propaganda tells the truth
Listen, it's normal to be a cynical youth
yes I am young and I am furious
Which could be very injurious
To what end when we're being left astray
Because they can throw your life away
About the Creator
Some Guy
I kinda suck at writing but I enjoy it
Anyway, here's a dumb little haiku:
The gunslinger draws
His opponent does the same
oh dear, they both died
