How boring and plain would life be,
If only one color defined reality.
Everything blue, or everything green,
All of the same, way too serene.
What is this world at the end of the day,
If not different occasions of things on display.
Absolute darkness or absolute light,
No spectrum at all, nothing is right.
Impossible to imagine to the human mind,
How wrong it would be to be nothing but lime.
We are more than just one thought, action, or color,
We are who we are, so different from one another.
Yet somehow, we all coexist,
There’s really no option, so why not enlist?
March into the battle, the fight of our life,
To make peace with each other, let go of our strife.
The impossible is now in our hands,
The future is bright as ever, let’s make plans.
Unite, not as team red or team blue.
Unite as humankind, me and you.
I’ve seen what it looks like when there’s only one color.
Nothing exciting or worth loving, nothing is duller.
That’s why I choose to see the world with all its hues,
The one thing about me I’ll never lose.
Why else would an artist use more than one color or shade,
For their pulchritudinous canvas when it is made?
Colors exist and we’re so lucky they do,
Without any colors I couldn’t learn to tie my shoe.
If it all looks the same, then blinded we are,
Close minded for sure, perspectives are far.
Getting nowhere anytime soon,
Only through colors could I find you.
Life is not meant to be a straight line,
Although we’re born and we’ll die.
During our lifetime, your heartbeat and mine,
Will be faster or slower, but never both at the same time.
We survive based on limitless variety,
When options are available, so is happiness for society.
There’s always a balance and nothing is free,
Except kindness, being kind is the best way to be.
See we all play a role in this wondrous universe wherever the wind blows.
Together united, the most magnificent of rainbows.
We all need different colors in every level.
Look at galaxies, or microscopic cells, do tell if I’m a rebel.
It could be perfect is my point, if we all worked together.
If we all looked, thought, and acted the same, the time would be never.
It’s the sacrifice we must pay, imagine a colorless dimension,
We at least aren’t blinded by utter black or white, do I have your attention?
We have realized our wrongs and our rights, our freedom is near,
That’s why now more than ever we have to take a stand against fear.
Fight for each other, it is our turn for war.
A battle for love, freedom, peace, joy, and more.
Every human on Earth deserves to feel alive,
You should love to be you, and I should love to be I.
I write to you for us because part of me is part of you,
These colors I trust will complement one another too.
We’re all vastly different, at the same time identical.
At the end of the day, the same needs we share are not just hypothetical.
All we need is compassion, love, and kindness.
It’s up to you and me to plant those seeds in the wilderness.
