Wide-eyed,

Runaway mind,

Never-ending thoughts,

All day and night;

My head just wants to play,

When I should hit the hay,

I look like I've been shopping,

And thrown a million dollars

away!

Did anyone see that train?

It stopped at my platform,

Tell it to go away,

It leads my thoughts astray!

This train is called,

my runaway mind,

It carries stories into the night,

Its weight is heavy on my brain,

I can't push it away,

Try as I might,

Tick tock,

The clock strikes midnight,

Yet here I am,

With this train of thought!

I reach for my notebook,

Write the idea down,

Maybe I'll get peace now,

And sleep will abound!

No,

Here we go again!

Wide-eyed,

Runaway mind,

This runaway train,

Keeps me up all night!

I have been there. I once did a runaway train playlist as well 😁. Excellent words
