Supernatural is a manifestation of a force beyond science or laws of nature. To anyone who doesn't believe in God and who has not experienced a supernatural event, the idea of it must seem absurd.
I have experienced several, and the first one was on Feb. 12,2022 when my husband Mike passed away. About a second after his heart stopped, I watched him walk away perfectly healthy. I didn't really process it as a supernatural event because that was back when I wasn't even sure that God was real. I was hopeful that He was, but He's invisible. Or so it seemed.
On March 6,2022 I went to a church for the first time as an adult and that night I had a dream that I was in a large black pit full of mud that was ankle deep. I was barefoot and when I wondered why I had no shoes on, I realized that I had no mud on my feet. It was then that a white root emerged from the mud pit wall, I touched it, and ended up at the top of the pit behind a shimmery curtain. I put my hand through the curtain and opened it to step into a huge beautiful pasture on a clear sunny day. It was stunning and I said "wow". And then I woke up in my bed. I was confused by the whole root thing, and then found out that the root is Christ Jesus.
We are spiritual beings with bodies. We are connected to our Triune God through the Holy Spirit, who is intertwined with our own spirit. The Spirit is our counselor, healer, comforter- our " helper" . He rescued me and transformed my mind from inconsolable grief to having a hope in the future in one night, and I didn't pray for it or even ask for help. The Root of Jesse and David met me where I was, and set me up into a beautiful pasture.
