The Rocket Ship

The rocket ship glided through space and time

Then the pilot saw a planet ahead

The rocket ship was was never cleaned and covered in grime

And the planet ahead was dead

The rocket ship glided through space

The astronaut thought about his family and life he left behind

Then he got a sad look on his face

And when he thought his teeth would grind

He ran to his suit and with great haste

He knew what he had to do

He tried putting on a happy face

He was tired of what he was going through

He ran to the hatch with tears in his eyes

And he grabbed the hatch lever

So he said his last goodbye

And left his life forever

The astronaut glided through space and time

And he was lost forever

He had left everything behind

And floated through space like a feather
