The Roads That Carry Us
On parting, and the courage to continue

We meet at the crossroad,
our hands still warm from the journey shared.
There is a pause,
the kind that hangs heavy with memory,
but also alive with promise.
The paths ahead stretch wide and unknown,
one toward mountains sharp with challenge,
another to valleys rich with quiet bloom.
Both are worthy.
Both are waiting.
And so we part—
not with sorrow,
but with the blessing of having walked together.
For every mile we carried laughter,
for every storm we carried each other.
That will not be lost.
American earth has always taught us this:
the river must split to find the sea,
the branches must part to lift higher into light.
So must we.
Go with courage.
Step boldly into your horizon.
The world is vast,
and the heart is stronger than goodbye.
Someday, in the echo of open skies,
our separate ways will weave again,
like rivers finding the ocean,
like stars remembering the same night.
