The Road Not Taken

A Poem on Life's Choices and Consequences

By karim salahPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Two paths diverged in a yellow wood,

And I, I took the one less traveled by.

It made all the difference, so they said,

But I never quite knew why.

For years, I walked that winding road,

With twists and turns I couldn't predict.

It was tough, but I kept moving forward,

And soon, I learned to thrive in it.

The journey was long and full of doubt,

And often, I thought of turning back.

But something kept me going forward,

A whisper of what I might have lacked.

And as I reached the end of that road,

I looked back at where I had been.

I realized that every step I took,

Made me who I am within.

So if you stand before two roads,

And wonder which one to take.

Remember that the choice is yours,

And the journey, yours to make.
