The Road Home

Too much or not enough? Too far, or not quite there? The times we live in are filled with uncertainty- this is a testament to the will to make it home anyway.

By Meagan Rankin (M. L Rand) Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Let’s be honest. You’re not happy, and it’s no one’s responsibility but yours to change that.

Sure, the world is tough. It’s filled with things that don’t resonate with your soul, but are exalted by everyone around you. People will tell your dreams are too wild, too big

- too much-

all the while implying that you just aren’t big enough to grab them.

But it’s your choice to believe them.

What makes you happy is yours. What contributes to the collective good is YOUR virtue- and what lights you up is important for the whole wide world. Because when you’re lit by purpose, love, and fulfilment… you light up the shadows that hide injustice, anger, harm… and fear.

So be fearless.

Be bright.

Be bold.

Don’t worry about the darkness ahead, and be grateful for the light you leave behind that calls what’s yours to follow. Focus on where you’re going, because you’re not supposed to be looking for the next off ramp, or minding anyone else’s directions. Embrace the unknown, befriend the uncertainty… and let whatever road you’re on be the one that leads you home.
