The River of Thought

Healing found in words

By Rohitha LankaPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

In a poem you write...

The thoughts that flow,

You emerge,

Dropped in a stream,

The sweetness that is felt,

The sorrow that is experienced, oh, trapped,

Beautifully wrapped around,

In a poem you write, there is a curled up,

Hiding the two corners of the heart, slowly...

A river that flows in the river,

The feeling of autumn,

The heart that grows and protects life,

Throwing thoughts that arise,

While writing the poem,

Wipe away the tears that fall,

Hiding the scars that are visible to everyone who looks at life,

...

The thoughts of memories that are born and die,

The absence of the joy of the mother,

The coolness of a moon that shines,

The mountains that rise as much as I search,

The tears of a heart that cries,

The river under the eyes that I have suffered,
