They thought he was finished,
His flame had long since died,
A shadow of his former self,
A man they cast aside.
But he refused to surrender,
To the darkness of defeat,
He rose up from the ashes,
With a fire that could not be beat.
He fought his way back to the top,
Through trials and through pain,
He persevered with all his might,
And rose above the shame.
Now he stands a towering figure,
A symbol of strength and strife,
A true testament to the power,
Of the human spirit's life.
So let his story be a beacon,
To all who feel the same,
That anyone can rise again,
And reclaim their rightful fame.
For the phoenix always rises,
From the ashes of its past,
And so can we, if we believe,
And hold onto hope that lasts.
