A poem for Spring

I move through my day blue like the sky, unbroken by any pure white clouds.

Shining and shimmering as bright as the yellow orange sun beaming down on me.

Spring.

The world’s promise that even after the darkest, blackest and grayest of skies,

The most beautiful things in life will return.

Growth.

I see the vibrant orange marigolds and lively violets flourishing.

The red cardinals are singing, they’re dancing.

Bloom.

The warmth of the season has covered me in gold.

I close my eyes and inhale the shades of green surrounding me.

Hope.

After all the rain that has fallen, that provoked the deep blue hues within my soul,

I have started anew.

Rebirth.
