The Respect Duet
Poetry about the nature of communication
True connection requires respect. -Michelle Liew
***************************************************************
Under the gentle glow of candlelight
Two dancers meet with bold, yet shy steps,
Their movements weave a tapestry in flight.
***************************************************************
The lead comes forth, his gentle hand held high
Certain invite framed in tender grace
The other bows, with trust she meets his eye.
***************************************************************
Each move, careful, balanced steps embraced
No forceful steps, no move left to chance
Respect becomes the guide of even pace.
***************************************************************
Their feet speak in rhyme, in graceful dance,
One guides, the other yields, their roles slowly merge,
A sweet, unspoken dialogue of romance.
***************************************************************
The crowd applauds, but neither dancer stirs
For that time, neither leads or trails;
They share promises only hearts confer.

''Each move, careful, balanced steps embraced.'' Indeed, everything in life is a matter of balance. A very travel-inspiring emotional poem.

This was incredibly beautiful and love how the smooth flow mirrored that of a well executed and emotionally driven dance!
