In shadows cast by moon's soft glow,
They roam the streets where wild winds blow,
With eyes that hold a timeless tale,
Street dogs, resilient, they prevail.
Through alleys dim and city's strife,
They wander on, each day, each life,
Forgotten souls, yet hearts so bold,
In search of warmth, of love untold.
Beneath the stars, they find their rest,
On pavements cold, they make their nest,
Their fur adorned with dust and grime,
Yet beauty shines through every time.
No pedigree nor pedigree name,
Their spirit burns with an undying flame,
For in their eyes, a spark ignites,
A testament to inner lights.
Through trials harsh, they still endure,
Their silent cries, their dreams obscure,
Yet in their plight, a lesson lies,
Of strength, of hope that never dies.
So let us heed their silent plea,
To show compassion, set them free,
For in their midst, we may just find,
A love that's pure, a heart entwined.
In every alley, every street,
Their presence gentle, bittersweet,
Street dogs, oh how they teach and heal,
A testament to love's appeal.

It's a painful dilemma to see, read and know about such helpless animals without safe homes and proper food and care. Heart breaking but very real. I imagine you had a few tears when writing this special ode. I am a new subscriber.
Dogs, dogs, street dogs, abused dogs, still LOVE with all their heart. Fabulous poem and I pray that all animals be treated with kindness and compassion. Loved your poem!
