The Relentless Turning Wheel
Celebration of solstice and light to come
The Wheel Turns Relentlessly
Round and round, we merely follow along
Time passes.
.
Darkness comes, and darkness goes
The winter solstice,
The turning point—I yearn for the light
Now, at last, passed.
.
Slowly, winter will fade,
Spring will make its entrance
In nature and in the heart.
.
Oh, turning point, be my joy!
Now comes Christmas with bustle and gifts,
And we launch the New Year
In silence or with resounding music.
.
So much new must grow in the new year,
And I, too, must leave a little more of life behind,
And the wheel just turns ever more relentlessly,
And we follow along.

Great job, Henrik. You will do just that—put some memories where they belong to make way for new ones. Some you keep because they are too important to let go, but that is, as you say, the relentless wheel.
Brilliantly written, my dear friend!!
In order to take up more, one must drop some things.. Nature teaches us that and well, life itself unfolds in seasons. Beautiful lines my friend, thank you for sharing :)
Didn't musk discover that we are in the matrix. AI already have us spinning on the wheel. I'm getting dizzy. Thought provoking poem.
So true, I enjoyed this
The wheel of life keeps turning and we have to play catch up. A good one, Henrik
