In a suitcase on left on a train, tucked away,
A teddy bear waitsfor Tommy, still and grey.
Once filled with laughter, cuddles tight,
Now lost in shadows, out of sight.
The train rolled on, through fields of strife,
While echoes of war stole away life.
A child’s last hug, a fading dream,
Left on the train, hear the distant scream.
Dusty and worn, with button eyes,
He holds the stories, the silent cries.
As soldiers march and sirens wail,
In the heart of chaos, love must prevail.
Then a guard, brave and kind,
Found the teddy, left behind.
He carried it gently, through the night,
To the camp where lost souls seek light.
At the camp, where tears in shadows fade,
Tommy saw him, his heart was laid.
With a cry of delight, through tears so bright,
He held his bear, in the soft moonlight.
No longer alone, the two again were one,
A love reborn, where silent tears run.
Though battles rage and the world feels thin,
New hope for little Tommy shall now begin.
