The reflections on the water
A time to sit in peace and survive

The reflections on the water
The water holds a secret face
a mirror world, a silent place
where trees lean down, yet never fall
where shadows speak and time stands tall
The sky bends low to touch the ground
no voice is heard, no single sound
the sun divides, both low and high
two burning eyes across the sky
I watch the ripples shift and sway
they steal the shape, then drift away
yet still the forest clings below
a ghostly world the rivers show
What waits for me beneath that glass
a second self, a hollow mass
perhaps she waits with steady hand
to pull me through from where I stand
The branches reach with crooked arms
they seem to whisper quiet charms
but if I stepped, would I be free
or drown inside what waits for me
The surface shivers, night grows near
the mirrored trees are sharp and clear
the light is fading, thin and cold
yet in that depth, a tale is told
No footsteps mark, no voices call
just endless sky where waters fall
a silent truth, a fleeting sign
the other world is never mine
So here I stand on solid ground
with shadows stretching all around
the water keeps its hidden world alive
I get to sit quietness, and my life still survives
