The Recipe for Love
Take a measure of kindness, soft and true,
A dash of laughter to see you through.
Add a cup of trust, so pure, so deep,
a pinch of patience for storms you’ll keep.
Fold in some courage, a fearless blend,
Mix it with dreams that never end.
Stir in forgiveness, sweet and light,
To smooth the days and ease the night.
Sprinkle with hope, like morning dew,
A touch of passion for all you do.
Knead in devotion, steady and strong,
And hum a tune to love’s timeless song.
Bake it with care, let it rise with time,
Glaze it with moments, simple and sublime.
Serve it warm, with a tender heart,
For love, my dear, is life’s true art.
