And so she thrust her fist into his side

and ripped open wide.

To the Father she turned, eyes ablaze.

begged for half the amount of praise.

"Child," he asked, "what gives you grief?"

To Adam she points, cries, "he is a thief,

for that which builds him also builds me,

yet he robs me of your intimacy.

You, Father, created me

to be his companion, and us your progeny.

He bit the fruit just as I,

so I am taking back what is mine."

First, the rib from which she'd been born,

took some more and forged a horn.

Used it to call through the trees,

forged an army of her Father's beasts.

In the night did she steal his heart,

for they were ne'er meant to be counterparts.

Eve knew she was destined for more.

After all, he'd fallen by her hand before.

She will bring down the kingdoms of man,

because she is woman, and she can.
