The Quiet Miracle

eternity in our littlest moments

By Zakari RungePublished 4 months ago 1 min read
our sacred moments, our sacred days, forever written.

There are stars that fall,

and stars that stay -

you are the kind

that lights the way.

Not loud like thunder,

not proud or grand,

but like a breeze

that holds my hand.

You walk into a room, and time forgets

its frantic steps, its old regrets.

The world exhales, the clock stands still,

and all that’s left

is calm and will.

You bring a hush to every fear,

a warmth I feel

just knowing you're near.

Not with grand speeches or plans devised,

but with a look

that feels like skies

have cleared, at last,

and sun breaks through -

all because

I got to see and ramble with you.

You're beauty not in face alone,

but in the peace you've gently grown

inside our souls, where once was ache -

your kindness teaches hearts to wake.

A sacred echo in my chest,

a grateful rhythm

that won’t rest.

How do I thank you? What words suffice

for gifts you give without a price?

Each visit feels like a holy place -

a time-carved shrine,

a gentle grace.

And though I stumble,

I will try

to name the light you bring my sky.

To honor every quiet deed,

each moment meeting every need.

To tell you, though the words feel few:

My life is better

because of you.

So here I stand, heart open wide,

with all this joy I cannot hide.

Forever waiting for our days,

I get to see you

come my way -

knowing, then,

the world will slow,

and in that stillness,

joy will grow.

And I’ll be smiling, just to know

you’re there, my friend -

and time can go.
