Lonely days, long nights, silence

Are people the answer?

Should I reach out?

Should I step out?

Will anyone understand me?

Will anyone befriend me?

Unpredictable and chaotic

I have tried, and I have lost

Not every person was kind

Some were warm, and some let me in

Some were cold, and I regretted reaching out

It took me years to solve the puzzle of loneliness

It starts from within

In finding bliss in the little things

I learned that it’s okay to live a quiet life

To let a few people in and cherish them

It starts from within

The battle against loneliness

When you learn to be kind to yourself

When you learn to love yourself

Even on days it seems far out of reach

I wish there was a quick and easy recipe

An antidote to loneliness

I wish there was a one-word answer

To the question of loneliness

I’m letting life soften me

I’m learning to be kind

To myself and the people around me

The voices in my head are still there

But they are gradually fading

I don’t let them overpower me

Not anymore, I’ve had enough of it

Loneliness is a puzzle that keeps changing

And I try to solve it every day

Some days, I succeed

Some days, I fail

But I know that it’s okay

As long as I keep trying

I know that it’s okay

To let loneliness win sometimes.
