Verse 1:

In the pursuit of power and greed,

Countries go to war with all speed.

But what is won at such a cost?

The human toll, a heavy loss.

Chorus:

The price of war, a heavy burden to bear,

Leaves behind destruction, grief, and despair.

Verse 2:

Families torn apart, homes reduced to rubble,

Lives lost, futures left in trouble.

The cost of victory, a steep price to pay,

As the aftermath of war lasts for many a day.

Chorus:

The price of war, a heavy burden to bear,

Leaves behind destruction, grief, and despair.

Verse 3:

As the dust settles and the smoke clears,

The true cost of war becomes clear.

A reflection on the causes and consequences,

Of conflicts fought with no defences.

Chorus:

The price of war, a heavy burden to bear,

Leaves behind destruction, grief, and despair.
