The Power of Words: A Thousand Words to Create, Heal, or Destroy
Choosing Our Words Wisely to Build a World of Love and Peace
A thousand words are quite a lot
To fit them in a single thought
But I will try my very best
To weave them into something blessed
Words can paint a picture clear
Of love, of joy, of hope, of fear
They dance and twirl across the page
Creating worlds both wild and sage
With words, I can tell a tale
Of heroes bold and dragons frail
Of fairies flitting through the trees
Of magic spells and mysteries
Words can be a soothing balm
For those whose hearts have been embalmed
By grief, by sorrow, by despair
They help us find the strength to bear
But words can also hurt and sting
Like arrows from a bowstring
They wound and scar and leave a mark
That time alone can't heal or hark
So let us choose our words with care
And speak with love, not just to scare
Let us build each other up
And fill the world with kindness' cup
For though a thousand words may seem
Like just a drop in life's wide stream
They hold the power to create
A world of love or one of hate
So let us choose our words with care
And use them wisely, everywhere
To build a world that's bright and fair
Where love and peace are always there.
