The Power of Television

The flickering light of the TV screen,

Enticing us with stories yet unseen,

A window to the world, so vast and wide,

A portal to adventure, right inside.

We tune in to the news, to stay informed,

We laugh along with sitcoms, feeling warmed,

We gasp at the drama, holding our breath,

We learn from documentaries, enriching our depth.

Yet as we watch, we can't help but see,

The screen's power, its hold on you and me,

Its ability to manipulate and control,

To shape our thoughts, and our very soul.

We must remember, in this digital age,

That television is just a tool, a stage,

And we, the audience, hold the power,

To choose what we watch, in every hour.

So let us be mindful, and choose with care,

What we allow into our minds, to share,

For television, like any medium,
