Sleep is where my mind wanders

In and out of the thoughts, I've pondered

Living out the dreams, I made awake

Taking me to places I've never seen

And reliving all the memories in between

Sleep untangles my mess of thoughts

Playing out my options without remorse

Trying to find a solution of sorts

Preparing me for the stress ahead

Lightening the burden to get out of bed
