The Power of Acceptance
A dangerous woman indeed

A woman of magnitude, a woman of grace,
Is one that has learnt one of the greatest lessons in life,
One that often mutters, ‘It is what it is’,
Has come face to face with many adversity in strife.
**
She has learnt the power of acceptance,
And quite frankly she no longer gives a fuck,
She now knows she can’t be broken, she can’t be beaten,
Go ahead, try your luck.
**
It’s not that she’s grown cold,
Nor is she unfeeling,
No, she’s accepted the inevitability,
Of those things that once left her reeling.
**
Do not threaten to abandon her,
For she will laugh in your face,
Then hold the door for you to walk through,
And bow to your ass in grace.
**
Don’t try to hold her hostile by withholding your love,
She’ll gift you her back as she walks out that door,
She’ll not blink twice at saying goodbye,
Knowing she accepts all that the future has in store.
**
A woman who lives the mantra, ‘It is what it is’,
Is extremely dangerous and forthright,
For she’ll sail the troughs of her highs and lows,
Knowing life is made of darkness and light.
**
She lives and loves within her power,
Taking life’s stride well in hand,
So face her at your own peril,
Because she will be the last one to stand!

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.

That's my mantra too. I'm just too exhausted at this point and be like "whatever happens, happens". Hahahahahaha. Loved your poem!
Hell yeah! Say it louder.
