
“You can’t calm the storm.
What you can do is calm yourself,
and the storm will gradually pass”
This is not always an easy thing to remember.
Sometimes,
when a ‘situation’ comes along,
especially one we were just not expecting,
our emotions bubble up’
and it can all seem overwhelming.
It is at a time like this
that we need to keep control.
Control of our minds.
Control of our emotions.
Control of what we physically do.
This is not easy!
Being human,
we ‘react’ in a certain way
and it is our ‘reactions’
that we need to control.
The challenge, situation or ‘storm’ will pass.
How we individually ‘deal with it’
is what we have to live with.
The more control we have,
in any situation,
the calmer we will be.
And it is more important
to stay calm
than anything else during a ‘situation’.
When we focus on our own thinking,
our own thoughts and our emotions,
we are finding that inner peace
that we deserve to have.
Then we will be able to
‘weather the storm’
with grace and resilience.
The power to stay in control and calm,
during any situation,
is in our own hands.
