The Portal

It could be...

By Mother CombsPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Deep, deep in the woods,

outback, behind our house,

there is a hole with stolen goods,

that is way too big for a grouse.

It's big enough to crawl through,

extending further than one can see.

The depth one could easily misconstrue.

For it appears the maker is absentee.

It could easily lead to another world.

Where one would meet creatures galore,

or where aliens lay about unfurled.

The door could be a portal to bring war.

Then again, it could be to bring peace to man,

by allowing angels to roam the land.

Miracles performed here could have been the plan.

Then again, it could have been made by man's hand.
