The Pool

A Poem

I no longer fear the future.

.

I have found it here, in this pool.

An antidote of blue and turquoise.

.

My hands effortlessly part still water.

Like reams of silk rippling back across my skin

Into time and space,

The past and forever.

.

For I am gigantic,

Cutting silver with my lean bones.

I have arrived home.

.

And as the sun dips and bleeds

My reflection darkens on the surface,

.

It is only myself that I see staring back from the deep.
