The Poison Apple
One bite is all it takes and your GONE

The Poison Apple
Beneath the branches, where shadows fall,
Hung a fruit, the fairest of them all.
Ruby red, its skin so bright,
A tempting glow in the forest’s light.
A whispered tale, a warning told,
Of danger veiled in a shimmer of gold.
Yet still it calls with a siren’s plea,
“Take just one bite, and set yourself free.”
The first taste sweet, the second pure sin,
A silent curse awakens within.
Lips grow cold, a heartbeat slows,
As the poison works where no one knows.
The apple drops; the ground it meets,
Marking the end where innocence eats.
A lesson learned in beauty’s guise:
Not all that’s lovely hides no lies.
So tread with care where temptations gleam,
For some sweet things are not what they seem.
Turn away, do not look back, let it be
For it would be the death of thee
